Rare Africa – One of the world’s rarest gems.

Rare Africa exhibits the rich, vibrant green and brilliant sparkle of tsavorite, one of the world’s rarest gems. First discovered in the Tsavo National Park in Kenya at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, this region in Africa remains the world’s primary source of gem-quality tsavorite. Tsavorite is even rarer than emerald and is in fact part of the garnet family, also known as the world’s rarest garnet. The high refractive index of this incredible gem creates intense fire and spectacular brilliance.

This one-of-a-kind tsavorite necklace is the culmination of hundreds of hours of skilled craftsmanship and meticulous diamond selection. The glittering clusters have been created entirely by hand, and the necklace is set with over 15cts of superb quality natural tsavorites elevated by the finest natural diamonds, encircling the neck in a symphony of glowing colour and glittering light.

Unlike many other green gems, Tsavorite is distinctly pure in its colour, free from any secondary hues. Its rarity and vibrant nature have contributed to its desirability among both collectors and jewellery enthusiasts.

2. Is Tsavorite suitable for everyday jewellery?

Tsavorite displays a considerable level of durability, boasting a hardness rating of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale.
